"Visions," is a 1982 album by the band Prism, which provided the backdrop for my contemporary brutalist redesign of its album cover.
For this design, I incorporated a fragmented and heavily altered Renaissance painting, seamlessly integrating it with Japanese and English typography. This combination pays tribute to Prism's Japanese roots, adding a cultural dimension to the project.
To create an authentic album cover suite, I also made comprehensive liner notes. These notes feature a quote from the album itself, as well as select lyrics from its tracks. The same image that graces the front and back cover takes on an entirely new layout for the liner notes, creating a cohesive visual narrative.
This artwork adheres to professional printing standards and is ready for production. Its style aligns with the modern brutalist album cover design seen in niche online music genres, such as Barber Beats, adding a unique twist to a classic album.
